Baker Beach
A sandy stretch about a mile in length, is located in the southwest corner of the Presidio near the 25th Avenue Gate. For stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, Marin Headlands, sunsets, birdlife, and the Golden Gate Beach, the site cannot be beat.
Marshal Beach
While Baker Beach provides a classic community beach experience (with parking and restrooms nearby), tiny Marshall's Beach is quiet and contemplative. The rugged shoreline is a spectacular setting for observing the birds and the bluffs. Some say that the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge can be had from this vantage point.
Crissy Field
Crissy Field is the Presidio's "front door." The northern waterfront offers spectacular views, unparalleled recreational opportunities, and the chance to glimpse rare birds feeding on native plants and frolicking in the restored marsh.
Highway 101
The Golden Gate Bridge carries US 101 and State Route 1 between San Francisco and Marin County
